Actress Honey Lee Spills On How BTS Helped Her While She Was In Labor
Honey Lee (also known as Lee Ha Nee) recently gave birth to a healthy baby girl on June 20. She shares her daughter with her non-celebrity husband, whom she married in a private ceremony on December 21, 2021.
Honey Lee has a long and impressive history in the spotlight. She graduated from the elite Seoul National University, where she majored in traditional Korean music, or gugak, and later received her master’s degree as well. She was named a gayageum prodigy by the Kumho Art Center and performed at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
She also won the 2006 Miss Korea pageant and went on to represent Korea in the Miss Universe pageant in 2007.
She has continued her career in acting, appearing in film and television roles, for which she has won numerous awards.
For a celebrity as amazingly multi-talented as Honey Lee, it seems only fitting that another legendary Korean celebrity… or seven of them… should indirectly help her bring her daughter into the world. The stars were none other than BTS!
On December 23, Honey Lee posted a video on her YouTube channel celebrating Christmas. In the video, she walks viewers through the process of creating a beautiful decorative Christmas tree while also updating fans on her life.
The title of the video immediately caught fans’ attention as Honey Lee listed that the video may feature BTS.
In the video, Honey Lee shared part of her experience preparing to give birth to her daughter in June.
In a viral clip that circulated on social media, Honey Lee began explaining her labor experience by saying, “I don’t listen to classical music, so I couldn’t get myself to listen to it. I was like (yawn).“
Instead, she opted to listen to BTS’s upbeat hit song “Dynamite” and hilariously shared that she danced to the song until 2 AM and then gave birth to her daughter.
👩BTS분들 만났을 때도 제가 그 얘기 했습니다
👩새벽 2시까지!
👩그대들 노래로 내가 춤을 추다가 애를 낳았다
👥️(BTS) 아 정말요?

At a later time, she met BTS and told them about her experience, to which they expressed their surprise at their indirect assistance.
The clip concluded with Honey Lee jokingly sharing the advice to all expectant parents that dancing to BTS will aid in a quick labor.
👩 I also talked about that when I met BTS. I was like "I was dancing to your song until 2am, then I gave birth to my kid" And (BTS were like) Ah really?
👩 Everyone, pls dance to BTS songs. The baby will come out. https://t.co/ONfrF4PcaK— 슈가젤리🍬(slow🐌) (@SUGAJelly9339) December 24, 2022
