BTS’s Jimin Reflects On The Main Challenge Of Creating Solo Music

He names the major difference between working alone vs. with BTS.

BTS‘s Jimin was recently named a global ambassador for Dior before making his Paris Fashion Week debut for the luxury fashion house.

He also recently partnered with Dior for an artistic photoshoot with W Korea for a feature in their magazine.

Along with his photoshoot and magazine feature, he had a behind-the-scenes video interview where he spilled on the creative progress of his upcoming solo album, the music he’s been listening to, what he’s been watching lately, and more.

While ARMYs have been cheering on and eagerly awaiting all activities of the individual BTS members, Jimin shared that working on the solo album, he’s felt more pressure than ever before.

Jimin humbly updated fans on what to expect from his debut album, modestly stating it would not be “grand or huge” and shared that it would be an expression of his experiences over the last two years.

I feel a lot of pressure… As I experienced “the past 2 years, I put my feelings and thoughts in the album chronologically. It’s an album that I can look back on myself, I think? I would like you to think like that.

Through the process of working on the album, he’s made some observations about working solo vs. with his fellow BTS members.

He’s noticed one distinct difference about working alone is that he’s used to quickly discussing matters with his fellow BTS members and making a decision together. As he’s been working alone, he’s realized he’s been thoroughly thinking through every aspect on his own and admitted it’s been slowing down the creative process.

Since I am working on an album like this for the first time, ‘Can it be released like this’. I am having lots of thoughts like that, which makes me modify more and do it over. So…More than the fans waited, it can feel like it’s coming out late.

Even if he’s working on his solo music, his fellow members are surely only a call away if Jimin needs help.
