3 Recipes For The Perfect Late Night Snack Introduced By BTS’s Jungkook

BTS’s Jungkook has recently been going viral for his unique recipes. He’s introduced three different noodle-based recipes for fans to try out. If you need inspiration for the perfect late night snack, read on for more.

1. Bulguri Noodles

The original recipe of Jungkook’s that first went viral, Bulguri noodles make use of two different noodles. Many Koreans have tried combining various instant noodle brands to create their own blend. For example, Jjapaguri noodles, as seen in Parasite, are a mix of Jjapaghetti instant noodles and Neoguri noodles. For Jungkook’s Bulguri noodles, he combines Buldalk fire noodles with Neoguri noodles.

 

All you need are the following ingredients.

  • 650ml of water
  • 1 pack of Buldalk fire noodles
  • 1 pack of Neoguri noodles
  • Perilla oil
  • Sesame seeds

Follow the steps below to cook up the perfect bowl of noodles.

  • Boil the water in a pan. When it heats up, add all the sauce from the Buldalk and 1/2 of the seasoning powder from Neoguri.
  • When the soup boils, add all the noodles from both packs and wait for the noodles to cook.
  • Add up to 5 spoons of water to adjust the salty taste to your preference.
  • Add the dry flakes from the Neoguri noodles.
  • When the noodles are cooked, turn off the heat and add a tablespoon of perilla oil.
  • Transfer to bowl, add sesame seeds and dry flakes from the Buldalk noodles.
  • Enjoy!

2. Buldalk Mayo Perilla Oil Noodles

Jungkook added a spicy twist to the usual perilla oil noodles (deulgireum makguksu). The spiciness of the fire noodle sauce is neutralized by the umami of perilla oil, while the mayo adds a creamy texture.

All you need are the following ingredients.

  • Perilla oil
  • Cham sauce (replaceable with oyster sauce)
  • Buldalk sauce
  • Buldalk mayo sauce
  • Egg yolk with all whites and veins removed

Follow the steps below!

  • Mix all the sauces together.
  • Add red pepper flakes or minced garlic if you wish, but Jungkook does not.
  • Boil your noodles to perfection.
  • Wash them with cold water.
  • Plate and pour sauce over.
  • Add seasoned seaweed flakes.
  • Enjoy!

3. 500kcal Breakfast special

Jungkook recommended this as a breakfast meal, but it can be enjoyed at any time of the day!

It is even low in calories despite the delicious taste. This is the only recipe that Jungkook has not uploaded a photo of, but many YouTubers have tried recreating it based on his instructions.

| Nyamda

Ingredients:

  • Whipping cream (liquid)
  • Egg
  • Rice
  • Spicy flavored Cup Noodle (vermicelli/ glass noodle)

Follow the steps below.

  • Add whipping cream to an egg, just enough to change the color of the egg. Beat well.
  • Fry on low heat, making sure that it does not turn golden brown. Ensure eggs stay fluffy while scrambling.
  • Add water to the cup noodles and mix with the seasoning powder. Leave to boil.
  • Use scissors to cut up noodles after it is cooked.
  • Add the noodle mixture to the fluffy scrambled eggs.
  • Add a bowl of rice to the mixture and mix well.
  • Add seaweed according to your taste.

The result should be similar to japchae rice, or glass noodles with rice!
