BTS’s V May Have Changed His Original Plans For Retirement, Here’s What He Said

V has had a change of heart.

In 2013, the BTS members were asked where they saw themselves in the future, and V had quite a unique answer. In his answer, V shared that he plans on retiring when he turns 40 years old.

I’m going to retire at 40 and dedicate my time to my family and wife. I want to become that cool senior that wears a beret and coat while throwing shrimp crackers to pigeons.

However, it seems that V has changed his mind regarding his original retirement plan.

In 2019, at the end of a concert, V shared a heartwarming message to ARMYs. V spoke on how he wished all ARMYs would be able to witness BTS perform live.

And for ARMYs who haven’t been able to see us live yet, we really want to give them the chance to come hear us perform too. I mean, I want everyone to have seen us.

— V

V then promised ARMYs that he and the members would keep going until all ARMYs see BTS live at least once in their life.

So, until such a time comes, we’ll keep going. We’ll keep making music, we’ll keep releasing albums, and we’ll keep holding concerts and performing.

— V

Regardless of when V plans to retire, he and the other members have worked extremely hard to get to where they are and truly deserve all the best.
