The touching reunion after their five-year hiatus warmed the hearts of new fans and fans who grew up alongside the famous second-generation group.

Not only did they promote on music shows, but they also held a Long Lasting Love 15th-anniversary fan meeting, which ended up being more like a concert.

In addition to promotions and their fan meeting, Girls’ Generation was able to join their fellow SM Entertainment artists for the annual SMTOWN LIVE 2022 concert in Korea on August 20.

The members went all out during their concert performance. Although only members Taeyeon and Hyoyeon were meant to appear to perform the encore song “Hope” with other SM Entertainment artists, all of the members unexpectedly stayed.

They were even the last group to leave the stage, wanting the special moment to continue a bit longer.

A recently released behind-the-scenes video from their final Inkigayo performance showed their decision to stay at SMTOWN LIVE 2022 until the last moment was even more touching.

It turns out they had their final scheduled Inkigayo performance just hours after the concert ended, meaning the members had to rush immediately into their following schedule after performing at the SMTOWN LIVE.

Because they had to rush to make their schedule, Yuri shared the members didn’t get to sleep before their Inkigayo performance. She showed the time was 4:08 AM KST, and they still had another hour before they were needed on stage.

Despite their tiring schedule, Yuri said she felt energized because of the love the group received from SONEs, and the members were able to pull off an effortless performance.

Hyoyeon added that the members had enough time to quickly shower at the dorms before rushing to film for Inkigayo. Although they expected to be tired, they were all lively because they cheered each other on in their group chat.
