Earlier this year (and much to the joy of fans of both groups), ATEEZ’s Mingi expressed his desire to become closer to GOT7‘s Youngjae when the group made an appearance on Youngjae’s Best Friend radio show.

As part of surprise birthday celebrations, Mingi wished for health and happiness for ATINY and ATEEZ. He also wished to become close friends with Youngjae, who was very receptive to the idea!

When the group’s episode ended, Mingi stayed back and exchanged phone numbers with the GOT7 members, which excited fans for the future friendship between the two.

Since the episode aired in March, fans have been waiting for proof of the pair’s friendship and finally got it!

ATEEZ’s Seonghwa, San, and Mingi recently appeared on the radio show again to promote their latest release, “HALAZIA.” As soon as they arrived, Mingi went straight to Youngjae, who greeted him with a hug!

During the episode, Mingi even mentioned he tried to meet up with Youngjae when their schedules matched up. Mingi was also the one to give him a signed copy of their new album!

At the end of the episode, fans could see how close the two have grown when the four posed for a photo together. Mingi doesn’t hesitate to get close to Youngjae and puts his arm around him.
