Who Is Gulf Kanawut? Meet The Thai Star Trending After The Gucci Cruise Show

On May 16, KST, the annual Gucci Cruise Show occurred, gathering stars from worldwide at the historic Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul, Korea. IU, aespa‘s Winter, and NewJeans‘ Hanni were just some of the many K-Pop idols in attendance at the event.

As more stars posed for the media at the event, one man attracted much attention for his looks and stand-out blue outfit. The star in question is Thai actor and model Gulf Kanawut, who appeared at the event as a friend of the house of Gucci!

Gulf began his acting career in 2015 when he appeared in a guest role in The Mafia Dragon Blood: Lion. The star also began modeling in the same year for local fashion brands.

Gulf then took a break from acting until he was cast as Type, one of the main stars of the BL (boy love) drama TharnType: The Series.

This series gained massive popularity and spawned multiple spin-offs featuring Gulf and his co-star Mew Suppasit. Becky Armstrong, star of the popular GL (girl love) series Gap: The Series, got her acting start in the official sequel series, TharnType The Series 2: 7 Years Of Love.

With his popularity from the show, Gulf has held multiple fan meetings and even starred in his own documentary, GULF: THE BACKSTAGE. The star even has an official K-Pop-style lightstick and has released music as part of the project group BOYSFRIENDS and as a solo artist.

In addition to being handsome and talented, the star also managed to juggle attending school! Gulf graduated from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi in 2020.
