One Of A Kind: iKON Proves They’re Unique By Dropping Their Own Color Coded Lyric Video

No, it’s not fan-made even if it looks like it.

The boys of iKON are proving they’re one of a kind once again!

After moving from YG Entertainment to 143 Entertainment, they released their album Take Off on May 4. It consists of the title track “U” as well as B-sides “Rum Pum Pum,” “Never Forget You,” “Like a Movie,” and more.

One specific B-Side was given extra attention: “Tantara.” They released the performance video for this on April 25, 2023.

As if this wasn’t enough, they supplemented this release with another version the next day. What made it unique was that it was the first official K-Pop color coded lyrics.

K-Pop fans have been making this type of videos for several years now—it features all members in their own frame, with each one’s photo lighting up if they are singing.

Fan-made lyric video

The official version of iKON was very similar in its layout, font, and colors.

Official lyric video

This is the only or most famous official color-coded lyric video of this kind on the market. Fans took to Twitter to express their surprise at the move, finding it amusing.

They also praised their new company, 143 Entertainment, for their efforts in giving iKON more publicity.
