ITZY’s Ryujin Accidentally Caught A Third-Generation Girl Group Member’s Unexpected Appearance On Camera

It only led to fans hoping for more interactions.

As much as fans love seeing different K-Pop groups interact with one another, it doesn’t happen that often on camera. More so, interactions between idols from different generations are a rare sight to see. So fans couldn’t be more elated when a third-generation girl group member made a surprise appearance in the same video as ITZY‘s Ryujin.

The third-generation idol in question is none other than the MAMAMOO member Wheein. Though MAMAMOO and ITZY have appeared together on the same music shows a couple of times, no encounter has gotten as close as this.

The video in question is actually from two years ago when ITZY was promoting “Mafia In the Morning” at Show! Music Core. In a behind video at the show, while Ryujin was talking to the camera, Wheein appeared in the back in the most unexpected way.

Fans spotted the MAMAMOO member in a meme poster in the background while Ryujin talked about shooting promotional content for their song. After a few moments, she also noticed the meme behind her and even imitated the same pose.

Mutual fans of both artists couldn’t contain their excitement at this random interaction, regardless of how passive it was. They were even more elated when shortly after this incident, Wheein named Ryujin the junior she liked the most in the industry.

Apart from their shared love for memes, Wheein and Ryujin also share the same birthday. While the MAMAMOO member was born on April 17, 1995, Ryujin was born on the same day in 2001.

The duo are often lovingly called the two aces of K-Pop, given their all-rounder talent. While fans’ wish of seeing them together in one frame was somewhat fulfilled with this hilarious incident, they can’t pray enough for a real interaction soon.
