LE SSERAFIM’s Yunjin Is Working To Achieve One K-Pop Milestone
LE SSERAFIM Yunjin‘s passion and love for music led her to return to Korea when she received the call about joining LE SSERAFIM, continuing the path that led her to be the successful rookie idol she is today.
Although the group is just getting started, they already have impressive goals in mind.
Yunjin stole the hearts of fans when she competed on Produce 48. Although her final ranking of 26 did not earn her a spot in I*ZONE, she had fans joking they would “burn her passport” so she wouldn’t return to the United States.
Since joining LE SSERAFIM, she has continued to impress fans and netizens with her incredible talent. From the group’s debut mini-album, FEARLESS, she already had songwriting credits, and she released her own self-composed song in honor of LE SSERAFIM’s 100th day anniversary.
Yunjin has proven to be a talented songwriter, vocalist, dancer, and charismatic performer.
The group’s choreography for their new title track, ANTIFRAGILE, has fans captivated with its fast-paced and sharp moves, with the group earning praise for the way their moves are effortlessly synchronized.
This effortless execution of the dance comes as the result of hours of rigorous rehearsals. In her interview with Weverse Magazine, Yunjin shared,
We’re practicing the choreography in specific detail for around six or seven hours a day. We filmed the moves in slow motion to make sure we’re getting the rhythm and angles just right. I think we all have to be on the same page emotionally before we can get our dance moves in sync properly.
The practice has undoubtedly paid off. During their choreography, Yunjin, in particular, earned attention for her solo part in the dance, where she impressed fans with her back-bending move.
The group worked hard to perform their best, pushing themselves to perfect every move and facial expression.
We tend to practice our facial expressions a lot anyway, but for that song all five of us worked really hard on them. The performance director also looked over them with us and gave us some feedback. I wanted to show people that I’m up there on stage, feeling free and enjoying every single moment of it, not missing out on a single thing.
Yunjin hopes fans take notice of her performance and works with the goal of being recognized as an idol who is not only good at what they do but loves every minute of it. She’s hoping that through her strong performance, she can achieve a K-Pop milestone,
