LE SSERAFIM’s Yunjin Has Big Dreams Of Changing The World—Here’s How She Plans To Do It
LE SSERAFIM‘s Yunjin has always been vocal about her wish to change society. For example, in a pre-debut video, the “ANTIFRAGILE” singer confidently stated her desire to “to change the K-Pop industry.”
Soon after the group’s debut with “FEARLESS,” she further explained that she wants to break down the strict standards that idols are expected to adhere to.
Rather than following the strict standards for idols, I want to break them down one by one. Of course you have to behave in front of a camera, but I want to create the kind of environment where I can express myself a little more openly rather than have to conceal the real me when I’m on camera. Because I know myself better than anyone else.

And that desire of hers hasn’t waned one bit! Recently, Yunjin once again talked about her goal in an interview with Weverse Magazine. This time around, she opened up about wanting to make the world a better place and how her desire is a result of her MBTI personality trait.
This is also sort of part of the INFJ personality (laughs) but I want to make the world a better place. I feel like I want to do whatever will be helpful to the rest of the world.

According to the singer, that motivation of hers isn’t something new—it was actually something she had been dreaming of since she was a child.
Back then, however, she didn’t know how she was going to achieve it. It was only after her interest in music grew that she realized she wanted to use the songs that she creates to make a difference.
I’ve felt that way ever since I was little and from some point on I decided I wanted to make it happen through music.

Last, Yunjin was asked what she would like her fans to listen for in the future. She stated that it’s her wish that their worlds will change after hearing her work, even if only slightly. Ultimately, her dream is that she could be a good influence to them, and she hopes they will look forward to her future releases.
I hope the world looks a little different to them after hearing what I have to say. I think what I would really like—instead of changing fans’ minds—is if I could be a good influence or push for them to realize that they can also think this way. I still have a ton of things left I want to say, and you’ll find out what they are if you wait just a little bit! (laughs)
