The Rising Actress Who Suddenly Disappeared From The Industry After Being Caught Two-Timing
Actress Seo Yi An was once one of South Korea’s rising actresses. She was so popular in 2014 and 2015, that she was acting in around five pieces of work each year. 2015 was considered her hit year. She starred in Dr. Frost, Warm and Cozy, Kill Me Heal Me, Cheo Yong 2, and Sweet Home Sweet Honey.
In 2016, a scandal broke out regarding the star’s love life. It turns out that she had been two-timing two men. One was her co-star from Sweet Home Sweet Honey, Kim Min Su. They had played a couple on the show.
The other man was soccer player Yoon Bit Garam.
Things came to light when Yoon Bit Garam posted a screenshot of the messages that he received from Kim Min Su. Kim Min Su had allegedly sent an angry text full of curses and insults to the soccer player. Yoon publicly outed him on Instagram, inadvertently revealing the relationship between Kim Min Su, himself, and Seo Yi An. The public instantly turned against Seo Yi An for her two-timing ways.
She began to appear in less works, being hired once every year or so. She took a two year break between 2015 and 2017, before finally appearing in a minor role in Revolutionary Love as the male lead’s ex-girlfriend.
After another two year break, she had a minor role in The Tale of Nokdu.
Seo Yi An had two more minor roles in Woman Of 9.9 Billion and Artificial City in 2020 and 2021 respectively. That was the last than fans saw of her. She has not been in any drama or work since. As of 2023, she was also erased from the homepage of her company, High Entertainment.
Even so, she continues to live a happy life. Although all the comments on her Instagram account are blocked, she continues to update fans with snippets from her life.
