Stray Kids’ Han Crushes The Misconception That Idols Can’t Be Introverts

“People think that it’s weird to be a celebrity if you’re an introvert.”

The bond between Stray Kids and their fans is one that’s very precious to them. Not only do fans gain strength from them and vice versa, but the group has learned a lot about themselves from the strong relationship.

While discussing the subject with Refinery29, Han revealed one of the ways that bond has helped him open up.

Whenever Han is performing on stage, he’s a force to be reckoned with. Between spitting fast-paced rhymes and powerful singing, his energy is always at an all-time high.

Even when he’s just hanging with his members, he can be hilarious and outgoing. Seeing this, it could be hard for people to realize that he’s truly an introvert. That’s why he wanted to address it, especially since it’s not a trait people would typically assign to an idol.

To share what he’s experienced, Han jumped right into it: “People think that it’s weird to be a celebrity if you’re an introvert.” To give his point of view, he explained how he’s able to balance the two sides of himself.

Although he’s typically calmer, quieter, and keeps to himself in his daily life, all of that changes when he’s on stage. “I find this courage and strength that I didn’t even know I had.”

The bond between him, his members, and STAYs come into play, making it possible for him to open up. “I get strength from my fellow members and the enthusiasm and energy of the fans so that I can be confident and not come off as too introverted.”

Even though Han is an introvert, that doesn’t stop him from living his life and pursuing his dreams, taking breaks whenever he needs to. The bond between Stray Kids and STAYs makes it work.
