SHINee’s Taemin Transformed From Cute Maknae To Sexy Soloist Leaving Fans Wondering How They’re Even The Same Person
SHINee‘s Taemin has a solo career characterized by charisma and an unabashed take on sensuality. He moves and sings his tunes in such a way that fangirls and fanboys alike can merely swoon in response. This wasn’t always the case, though.
Taemin made his debut in 2008, at the young age of 14. Despite his adolescence, his dancing skills rivaled many of his seniors in the industry. He quickly became a fan favorite due to his bright smile and vitamin-like energy.
By 2010, a mere two years after SHINee’s debut, Taemin already started showing more of his unique charm during the “Lucifer” era. He grew out his locks and, in the process, began outgrowing his innocent image as well.
In 2013, the “Everybody” period had Taemin donning more eyeliner and less clothing. Even though his stans thoroughly enjoyed the unique charms he brought to the group, nobody expected what his solo career would bring.
Taemin’s debut solo mini-album included tracks like “Danger” and “Experience” — both immediately setting the foundation for the rest of his upcoming solo career. The Taemin who was known for being the exact opposite of dangerous and experienced was erased through this step in his changing image.
During SHINee’s halted activities, Taemin flourished and amped up his slinky, seductive performances with each comeback. To compare his demeanor in “Criminal” to SHINee’s debut single, “Replay,” is like looking at two completely different people.
At 27 years of age, it is undeniable that Taemin has matured since his youthful debut. His evolution as a performer, however, is the most noteworthy. He tackles sexuality in a way that does not offend, but rather attracts onlookers. Surely we can look forward to more thirst-quenching promotional performances from him – this time with his members alongside him.
