Famous second-generation K-Pop idol and former TVXQ member Kim Jaejoong held his 2024 KIM JAE JOONG special J-Party Fan concert <I’M TWENTY> in MACAU on April 14. He performed fan-favorite hits.

Fans showed their love for their idol with a special fanmade video. It moved him to tears.

Jaejoong returned his fans’ love by offering heartfelt advice. In the fancon session on life counseling, he listened to and answered fans’ sincere questions.

One fan confessed, “My partner and I are homosexuals. Should we make our relationship public?” They were unsure about publicly coming out as gay.

Jaejoong took his time to respond thoughtfully, explaining that it was a “difficult question.” Still, he hoped the couple could go public with their relationship.

Jaejoong encouraged the fan, telling them their happiness was the most important. He said anyone who finds their loving relationship uncomfortable is at fault for their discomfort.

Just a few days before the fanmeeting, Jaejoong was hit with unexpected homophobia allegations after Korean singer K.Will guested on talk show JaeFriends. A clip went viral in which Jaejoong reacted to K.Will’s legendary music video for “Please Don’t…”, the title track off his 2011 album Third Album, Part 1, for the first time.

The music video stars actors Seo In Guk (Death’s Game and Doom at Your Service) and Ahn Jae Hyun (The Real Has Come! and Love with Flaws), who recently reunited. The “Please Don’t…” MV is famous for its unexpected plot twist as it pushed the boundaries at the time in a conservative Korean culture. Throughout the music video, viewers assume that Seo In Guk is in love with the woman, SISTAR‘s Dasom, who is marrying Ahn Jae Hyun. By the end, it’s revealed that Seo In Guk is in love with Ahn Jae Hyun! Despite this, netizens criticized Jaejoong’s shocked reaction to the reveal.

Fans jumped to Jaejoong’s defense, though. He is known to be a longtime supporter of LGBTQIA+ content and entertainment.
