But how much money do they really spend on such a level of post-pregnancy maintenance?

Hong Young Gi is a popular influencer, known for her baby-faced beauty. Though she shot to fame as an “ulzzang,” her current brand image is highly focused on her age-defying beauty as a mother of two.

In a recent YouTube appearance, the influencer was asked about the secret to her hot body and flawless skin even after stepping into motherhood. Hong, whose first child is a sixth-grader and second child, a fourth-grader, revealed that she gained a whopping 31 kg during her pregnancy. However, due to postpartum depression, she lost her appetite and lost a lot of weight as a result. She straightforwardly admitted that her current body was not a result of any healthy weight loss method.

When asked if she had any tips for new mothers on how to take care of their postpartum bodies, Hong emphasized the importance of taking care of their faces. “After you have a baby, you lose a ton of hair, and your belly gets all flabby, and your face too,” she continued. “Same story. Freckles pop up everywhere.”

The influencer then nonchalantly stated that there was no other way to remedy these issues but to undergo medical procedures. She admitted that she herself had gotten lifting procedures, “like Shrink or Thermage.” She added that she gets those procedures done “at least once a year.”

Hong also shared the cost of such procedures, revealing that she has spent around ₩100 million KRW (about $70,900 USD). “Just starting with Thermage costs ₩1.00 million KRW (about $709 USD),” she added, while also admitting that she had gotten a nose revision surgery as well, which alone cost her ₩10.0 million KRW (about $7,090 USD).

Hong Young Gi’s honest confession gave viewers a rare insight into how much effort and money actually go into the post-pregnancy upkeep for public figures, painting a realistic picture for them.
