At the press event, Kim reiterated that she had personally met with the people involved in the case and had cleared up all misunderstandings.

At that time, I personally met with the people who were involved and through deep conversations, we were able to clear up the misunderstandings we each had. Since then, we’ve been supporting each other in our respective lives and still keep in touch.

The actress also reflected on the time she had to spend away from the limelight because of the controversy, stating that she didn’t feel negatively about it.

I thought that was also something I needed to experience, so I spent that time very fully and devoted myself deeply to studying acting. There wasn’t a single day when I didn’t think about acting.

She added that she was patiently waiting for a new opportunity while focusing on her personal growth, and when it did come to her in the form of Savior, she played her part “with much more earnestness and desperation.” The actress also iterated how this experience humbled her and taught her not to take things for granted.

Meanwhile, Kim’s upcoming movie, Savior, is scheduled to premiere on November 5 across theatres in Korea.
