Popular Female Idol’s Uncanny Resemblance To A Fantasy Game Character Triggers Major Backlash
Fans will not take this lightly.
Recently, a popular girl group member was discovered in the most unexpected place.
An online community post garnered attention after a character in the new NCSOFT game, Aion 2, resembled K-pop girl group NMIXX’s Sullyoon.

The basic character even had two beauty marks, like Sullyoon, except for the placement, which was different.
After changing the character’s hair color, it looked even more like Sullyoon.

In comparison with actual Sullyoon photos, the resemblance is uncanny.

Netizens called out the game company for making a character based off an idol.

- “NCSoft, you crazy people…why would you make a preset look exactly like her?”
- “I hate this…”
- “Why are they so confident?”
- “This is just Sullyoon…are you crazy?”
- “Is it ok to make a character look exactly like someone? Are there any copyright laws?”
- “Wait, it’s way too similar…”
- “If it’s not a collab, then they just don’t have any sense about copyright…and this character even has their chest out…”
- “They put her in those skimpy clothes…we can’t let this slide.”
- “Isn’t this a huge problem if they can customize not only the face but also the body parts?”
