Beloved Idol-Actress Faces Marriage Rumors Over Cooking Classes

A second-generation female idol recently addressed rumors about her potential marriage over a simple remark about her taking cooking classes.

The idol in question is Dasom, a member of the second-generation powerhouse girl group SISTAR.

Dasom recently appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel Jeeseokin World, where she and fellow guests had candid conversations about their lives and careers with the host Ji Suk Jin.

During the episode, Dasom left her fellow guests surprised with her unexpected knowledge of food and restaurants. Particularly, Oh Yeon Seo and Hong Jong Hyun called her a “food connoisseur,” complimenting her cooking skills as well. When Ji Suk Jin asked if she really was good at cooking, Dasom explained that she took classes from a famous instructor for six months. However, she added, most of the students there were newlyweds or brides-to-be.

After SISTAR disbanded and I wasn’t working on a new project, I had a lot of downtime, so I took cooking lessons for about six months from a famous cooking instructor in Apgujeong. I went on my own, but most of the people learning there were young newlyweds taking bridal cooking classes.

This remark immediately got the room buzzing, and actor Choi Jun Hyuk jokingly asked, “Are you getting married?” Ji Suk Jin also joined in, teasing, “You almost got into trouble over that kind of talk. People would say, ‘Kim Dasom is getting married.’”

Dasom responded in good humor, saying it could be useful for the future. However, when Choi continued to press her, asking, “You must’ve had someone back then, didn’t you?” Dasom vehemently denied it. “No. There was nothing like that. But you’re really pushing it!” the idol said, completely flustered, making the room break into a laugh.
