Kim Hye Yoon Confesses She Lied About Her Body To Get Roles
Actress Kim Hye Yoon’s recent appearance on You Quiz On The Block has come bearing some surprising revelations.

On January 14, the actress appeared on the tvN variety show for an almost tell-all interview. During her conversation with the hosts, she candidly admitted that she had auditioned more than 100 times and failed before making it in the industry. “During the time when I was really going for it, I even went to three auditions in a single day,” she added.

Yoo Jae Suk asked if the constant rejection ever swayed her confidence. Kim replied, “I always went thinking, ‘I’m going to get rejected again today.’” She then confessed that she had a huge complex about her height and whenever she auditioned, she was convinced, “I won’t make it because I’m too short.”

The actress then got surprisingly vulnerable and revealed that she would often lie about her height to get roles, even when she knew it was obvious.
I felt like I was too short for certain roles, but I was so desperate to get cast that I made things up about myself. I’m 158cm tall, but I said I was 160cm. Everyone knew it was a lie, but I kept saying I was 2cm taller.
