Kim Soo Hyun’s Lawyer Exposes Garosero Institute’s Informant In Controversy With Kim Sae Ron

Actor Kim Soo Hyun’s side is currently pursuing a lawsuit seeking damages worth hundreds of billions of won against Kim Se Ui, the head of Garosero Institute, in relation to the controversy with Kim Sae Ron.
Meanwhile, shocking details have emerged about the informant who provided the “AI-manipulated audio recordings,” a key tool in this case.
Kim Se Ui’s side has consistently maintained the authenticity of the recordings, claiming they are not manipulated. However, the unmasked identity of the informant reveals a person full of absurd and baseless claims beyond common sense.
On the 28th, Ko Sang Rok, legal representative for Kim Soo Hyun, revealed in an MBC radio interview that “the informant themselves is not a trustworthy figure,” exposing the whistleblower’s bizarre assertions.
According to lawyer Ko, the informant has habitually made outlandish claims to those around them, such as “being attacked by an assassin hired by actor Kim Soo Hyun” or “being personally comforted by actor Won Bin after the incident.”
They have insisted on a fabricated narrative involving conspiracy theories worthy of a movie plot and unexpectedly dragging top actor Won Bin into it as if it were true.
The whistleblower’s unreliability was also evident in the audio files they provided. They circulated multiple versions of patched-together audio recordings simultaneously, but the actual conversational flow did not match, containing critical errors.
Moreover, they have disappeared without submitting the original files to investigative authorities, which would verify if manipulation occurred. Based on these absurd claims and objective circumstances, investigative agencies have concluded that the recordings presented by Kim Se Ui’s side were very likely manipulated using AI technology.
Kim Soo Hyun’s side also suggested that the scale of damage caused by this incident is far greater than expected, hinting at the possibility of expanding the damages lawsuit.
Lawyer Ko stated, “We have already filed a lawsuit seeking damages of ₩12.0 billion KRW (about $8.00 million USD) immediately after the incident,” but added, “The recalculated amount of economic loss is significantly higher now.”
He continued, “Based on materials submitted to investigative authorities, damages have reached approximately ₩30.0 billion KRW (about $20.0 million USD),” and “We are considering raising the amount of the claim if necessary.”
