4 Things You Didn't Know About TWICE's Group Chats And Their Hilarious Messaging Habits

Group chats are a great way to connect with other people online, and JYP Entertainment girl group TWICE is no stranger to it! Every now and then, the members reveal new facts about their personal group chats and what their messaging habits are like.

In no particular order, here are four facts that you quite possibly never heard of before.

1. Jihyo isn’t included in one of them

Did you know that TWICE doesn’t have just one group chat—they have several others with select members? Well, Jihyo was surprised as well!

In a recent episode of Idol Human Theater, the girls accidentally talked about Jeongyeon personally sending them a sentimental letter. Jihyo knew right away that she had never seen it before, so she asked in shock if they have a group chat without her. And the answer was yes!

It’s common for friends to have separate chats depending on the purpose, so Jihyo hopefully didn’t feel too upset about it.

2. Nayeon is slow to reply to messages…unless they’re from TWICE

Next, Nayeon is the type of person who doesn’t like checking messages right away. She has the willpower to let them accumulate until the next time she looks at them, but that doesn’t apply to her group members’ chats.

She revealed during her solo date with Tzuyu that she formed the habit of checking their group chat immediately because she can always count on them to send something to laugh about.

When my friends text me, I don’t check it right away, but I check the messages in our group chat right away. I think it’s become my habit because I feel like there might be something funny.

3. Chaeyoung often ignores the group chat

On one hand, there are members like Nayeon who can’t ignore the chat, but on the other hand, there are those like Chaeyoung who rarely ever reply.

In a former interview with BuzzFeedVideo on YouTube, the TWICE members revealed Chaeyoung has a funny habit of responding to messages days after they were sent. They could be talking about something new but she would jump in with a reply to an old topic!

Furthermore, she often responds to messages with just “Hahaha” and doesn’t pick up when someone is calling her.

In Chaeyoung’s defense, they sometimes catch her when she’s sleeping. Other times, she simply feels overwhelmed when the messages pile up in quick succession.

4. They like showing off

Last but certainly not the least, Jeongyeon once revealed in a radio show appearance that they never chat about work when they’re each on holiday. Instead, they enjoy showing off what they’re doing or eating. They also love sending pictures of their adorable dogs!

It’s like…we do show off. We show off, showing off like, ‘I am doing this right now.’ But contacting [each other] for work related stuff—we don’t do that for sure. When we go back home, we send many pictures of our puppies. When we’re eating something, we also take a picture and send it.
