aespa’s Karina Collaborates With Controversial Indie Rock Band
In an unexpected career turn, Karina, the leader of aespa, is set to collaborate with an indie rock band.

Karina, known for her versatility as an artist, effortlessly carries her position as a rapper and a singer in her group. Now, she is ready to go beyond K-Pop, as she is gearing up to collaborate with the iconic indie group Jannabi on their upcoming album.

On April 21, KST, Jannabi released a short YouTube video, teasing a track called “In the Name of Love” from their upcoming album, Sound of Music pt 1. The credits included Karina’s name, much to the surprise of fans.
Given the two completely different sounds of aespa and Jannabi, fans are excited to see how the two artists blend their styles for this track. Many were also impressed by Karina’s recent solo ventures, as she also worked with G-Dragon in his “Too Bad” music video.

- “Whoa, I am looking forward to it.”
- “Omg, can’t wait.”
- “Wow, Jannabi? What a completely different vibe from their usual features!”
- “Daebak.”
- “Whoa. A combination I couldn’t even imagine.”
On the other hand, some netizens expressed their disapproval of Karina being associated with Jannabi, given their past controversies involving ex-member Yoo Young Hyun and existing member Choi Jung Hoon.

- “Can’t she even say that she doesn’t want to do it?”
- “Please stop.”
- “Jannabi after G-Dragon? That’s definitely a lineup worth hating.”
- “Wow. SM Entertainment really pisses me off.”
