BTS’s Jin Admits The Members Don’t Text Or Call Each Other Often, And The Reason Why Proves Their Close Bond

He explains why they don’t need to.

BTS has an incredible friendship; they continually cheer each other on, showing their respect and appreciation for each other.

Like most friend groups, BTS has a private group chat where the members can talk to each other, and in the past, the members have identified Jin and Jimin as the members who respond to the chat the quickest…

In a recent interview with GQ, where Jin showed off his ten essential items, the idol admitted that BTS don’t actually text each other often.

We don’t really text or call each other.

Instead, Jin uses his phone, which is “like air, like oxygen to [him],” for apps like YouTube or Webtoon.

My favorite app is YouTube, like a lot of people nowadays. And in the Korean market, Webtoons have developed a lot.

He also frequently uses his phone to research things on the internet, like when he has questions about one of the many games he plays.

Then in second place for me is the internet. Because I game a lot. There’s a lot I need to look up.

And while Jin admitted that the members don’t talk to each other often, he quickly explained that they do not need to text each other when they spend so much time together.

Out of 365 days in the year, the BTS members and I see each other probably 360 days. Because there’s a lot of things we do.

Jin shared that the members spend even their free time together by explaining that he has taken J-Hope with him to play tennis.

I had dinner with J-Hope, and I had plans to play tennis afterwards. I said to J-Hope, ‘Since you know how to play tennis, do you want to come with me to go play with my friends?‘ So I made him come with me.

He also revealed that many of the members used to game together.

About a year or year and a half ago, three or four of us would game together. We would play a game during our work schedule. We’d play a game when we were out. We’d play a game at home. There was a time like that.

Even Jin’s phone case is “made of BTS stuff,” showing just how much the members care about each other.
