He’s getting better!

BTS‘s V has updated ARMYs almost a week after being tested positive for COVID-19, expressing gratitude for their concern and love during the difficult time.

Last week, V tested positive for COVID-19. On Weverse, BIGHIT MUSIC released a statement regarding his condition.

Hello.

This is BIGHIT MUSIC.

We would like to provide you with some information regarding the health of BTS member V.

V visited the hospital Tuesday afternoon on the 15th after experiencing a mild sore throat and took the PCR test. He was diagnosed with COVID-19 tonight.

V completed two rounds of COVID-19 vaccinations and is not presenting any extraordinary symptoms other than a mild fever and sore throat. He is currently undergoing treatment at home while waiting for further guidelines from the health care authorities.

There was contact with the other members on Saturday the 12th, but everyone was wearing a mask, and there was no close contact. None of the BTS members other than V are presenting any symptoms, and everyone received negative results from the preemptive self-tests.

The company places the artists’ health as our top priority and we will do everything we can to aid V in his speedy recovery. We will also diligently cooperate with the requests and guidelines of the health care authorities.

Thank you.

Naturally, ARMYs were still concerned about V’s well-being. Especially considering how V is always such a source of hope and strength for us, we hoped that we could be the same for him during this difficult time.

So, on the day of the announcement, “GetWellSoonTaehyung” trended along with V’s nicknames such as “Tae” on Twitter.

V must have seen all the outpouring messages of love from ARMYs because he has now given another update specifically for ARMY. He shared two back-to-back black-and-white videos of himself to Instagram Stories.

Thank you for your concern. I’m all better thanks to you.

While he didn’t speak in the videos, he included text in both, with the first being in Korean and the second in English. Although different messages, they both communicated the same thing: gratitude for ARMYs’ love and concern as well as reassurance.
