Producer Moon Young Il, who physically and verbally assaulted The East Light members including Seokcheol and Seunghyun has been arrested.
According to Seokcheol and Seunghyun’s attorney, “The Bangbae Police Station has arrested suspect Moon Youngil at the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office on charges of assault on the morning of December 20, 2019.”

The East Light’s assault case first came to light in October. The media revealed that The East Light members were subjected to continuous assault and verbal abuse since before their debut when they were still minors.
Shortly after, the band’s leader, Seokcheol, opened a tell-all press conference during which he explained everything about the band’s abuse and assault in detail.
Gaining support from the public, The East Light’s Seokcheol and Seunghyun filed a lawsuit against Producer Moon Young Il on October 22.
All six members of The East Light have since terminated their contracts with Media Line Entertainment.
