Over the last week and a half or so, HyunA has been drawing a lot of attention — mostly negative — after announcing her relationship with former HIGHLIGHT member Yong Jun Hyung. Jun Hyung is infamously known for being involved in the Burning Sun Scandal, particularly by receiving explicit videos from Jung Joon Young in an illegal sex video group chat of women without their consent.
K-Pop fans have been shocked that HyunA, who has often been considered a feminist icon in the industry, would become romantically involved with an admitted sex offender, and it has led to a quick and massive hit to her popularity.
