Jin Goo and Ha Ji Won Confirmed For 30 Billion Won Blockbuster Drama “Prometheus”

They’re confirmed.

The leads for one of Korea’s most expensive dramas ever have been confirmed, with Jin Goo and Ha Ji Won taking the top roles in the ₩30 billion KRW ($26.7 million USD) action-espionage drama.

Jin Goo will be playing the role of Park Hoon, a former member of the North Korean embassy in Moscow, Russia whose fate has been thrown into a complete twist, ending up in South Korea and working as a laborer.

Ha Ji Won will play the role of Chae Eun Seo, an intelligence officer from NIS Team 2 who goes on an undercover mission to denuclearize North Korea.

Prometheus is a drama whose idea was based on the state of current international affairs, specifically denuclearization, which has been a huge talking point with the North-South Korean summit and the North Korea-United States summit.

Prometheus is scheduled to be broadcast at the end of 2018 on KBS. Filming will take place in South Korea as well as 5 foreign countries. The drama’s production company will be the same one who produced Iris, Chuno, and The Princess’ Man.
