Kim Jong Un And Donald Trump Will Meet After The Success Of The 2018 Inter-Korean Summit

Talks of location are already in the works.

Just days after South Korean President Moon Jae In and North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un held their war-ending summit, CNN received a tip that Kim Jong Un will be meeting President Donald Trump very soon.

The two had previously agreed on the meeting, but no specific time or place for the event had been set.

The two will likely meet in the demilitarized zone thanks to suggestions by President Moon Jae In.

There is a strong possibility that the meeting will take place in Panmunjom, where the summit was held.

The two Koreas even hinted that there may be events scheduled on the northern side of the demarcation line.

Having the two leaders meet in Panmunjom makes sense. The location is already equipped with media facilities and equipment which could allow the summit to take place as early as late May. South Korea has already spoken out in favor of the location.

“We think Panmunjom is quite meaningful as a place to erode the divide and establish a new milestone for peace. Wouldn’t Panmunjom be the most symbolic place?” — South Korea Spokesperson

President Trump has also responded positively to the suggestion and many people believe it could provide a historic opportunity for him.

“There’s something I like about it. If things work out, there’s a great celebration to be had on the site that wouldn’t happen in a third party country.” — Donald Trump

With plans and ideas starting to take shape, it will only be a matter of time before North Korea meets the U.S.
