LOONA Hits Milestone Previously Only Accomplished By Red Velvet And TWICE

They’re only the third K-Pop girl group to hit this milestone.

LOONA jumped to number one of the US iTunes album chart.

According to their agency, on October 17, LOONA’s repackage album [X X] ranked first of all its genres on iTunes.

The album was released in February and ranked fourth on the US Billboard chart, number one on the iTunes pop album charts in twenty-six countries, and number two on the US iTunes top album charts.

An official from the agency said, “LOONA has overcome their limits and proved their strength and gained global momentum.”

In addition, LOONA’s full album and sub-unit album were ranked 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 9th in the US iTunes K-Pop album charts.

The top album chart achievement recorded by LOONA is the third from a K-Pop girl group, following Red Velvet and TWICE.
