With fans from all over the world, he’s unsurprisingly had football fans simping over him at every match South Korea has played at the FIFA World Cup so far, leading to plenty of amusement from K-Pop fans.

The match between South Korea and Ghana proved to be a particularly exciting one, with both teams nearly tying before Ghana scored its winning third goal.

The South Korean team was left devastated, with a red card even being issued to the team’s angered manager Paolo Bento after the referee denied South Korea a final corner kick. Unfortunately, this loss put them at the bottom of the ranking in Group H and with diminished chances of continuing in the tournament.

Understandably, the players were upset, and tears were shed. Son Heung Min was seen crying as members of the Ghana team’s staff consoled him. In a controversial moment, one of the staff members raised his phone to take a selfie with the crying Son Heung Min…

The moment has since gone viral, with fans questioning the man’s poor timing for his attempted selfie.

While it’s completely understandable if he was a fan and wanted to take his chance, perhaps the timing could have been better!
