Actress Updates Fans On Star Husband Who Cheated On Her
Naoko Amihama and Sanshiro Matsuyama have gone their separate ways.

On June 6, 2026 (local time), Japanese actress Naoko Amihama announced through her personal social media account that she had divorced comedian Sanshiro Matsuyama. The announcement comes years after Matsuyama was embroiled in a shocking affair scandal.
“I am very sorry to share something personal, but I would like to report that I have divorced,” Amihama wrote.

Amihama and Matsuyama married in 1998 and have two sons together. But in 2022, Matsuyama became the center of controversy after it was revealed that he had been involved in an affair with a woman in her 20s around 2012. At the time, it was also reported that the woman had undergone an abortion.

Amihama made her entertainment industry debut in 1984 after winning the grand prix at the Miss Seventeen contest. She later appeared in films such as Be-Bop High School: Koko Yotaro Final and Ambition Without Honor, as well as dramas including Under The Same Roof Of Love and Classmates. Matsuyama debuted in the entertainment industry in 1992. He is currently active as a judo instructor, writer, and singer-songwriter.
