Netizen Who Posted ZEROBASEONE Kim Jiwoong’s Controversial Videocall Might Actually Be An Anti-Fan

They allegedly posted more against him.

ZEROBASEONE (also known as ZB1) fans, ZEROSES, believe that the alleged fan who accused Kim Jiwoong of cursing was never a fan at all.

Jiwoong

According to allegations, a fan heard Jiwoong say shibal, or “f*ck” in Korean, when he thought the call had ended. Due to the lag between the video and audio being cut off, it ended up being recorded.

Do you usually say f*ck after talking to fans? I’m not sure so I’m asking other Zerozes’ thoughts.

— Alleged Fan

ZEROBASEONE’s company, WAKEONE, has released a statement promising to investigate. Previously, the company had released another generic statement about various crimes against ZEROBASEONE.

We checked with Kim Jiwoong himself and confirmed that the accusations are not true. Other administrative and interpreting staff also confirmed, too.

For an even more accurate and unbiased analysis of what happened, we’ll work with a digital media forensic team and other professional methods to unveil the truth. We’re going to do everything we can to protect the artist under our management.

Since Jiwoong’s controversy, a union organized protest trucks calling for his withdrawal. The union previewed the visuals for the trucks on February 5, 2024. The post included the hashtags “Kimjiwoong_leave_ifyouhaveaconscience” and “pleaseleavethegroupkimjiwoong.”

  • Mr. Kim Jiwoong, hurry and leave. (Word play on the Korean words for “Mr.” and “hurry” to form the word for f*ck in Korean, “Sshibal.”)
  • We voted so you could debut, but what we get in return are curses. Kim Jiwoong, leave the group.
  • If you forcibly continue this way, all ZEROSES will leave. The oldest hyung who is being a nuisance to his 8 dongsaengs.
  • Kim Jiwoong, the sole nuisance member, who turned his group into one that hates fans, should leave.

ZEROSES have been supportive of Jiwoong, defending him against the hate. They have trended positive messages for him and urged WAKEONE to protect him from defamation.

ZEROBASEONE Fans Urge WAKEONE To Protect Kim Jiwoong

Now, they are also finding evidence that this entire accusation might be premeditated. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that the Original Poster’s handle appeared familiar. According to fans, this isn’t the first time this user has posted something against Jiwoong. The same account had allegedly criticized him months prior.

Although they claimed to be a fan, who had won a videocall with him, they allegedly had posted rude comments about Jiwoong talking about drinking alcohol during a variety show appearance. According to fans, the OP has deleted all their previous posts so that only their content related to the current controversy is shown. Notably, the account has no profile picture or name but just random numbers, which many find suspicious.

Additionally, fans believe the videocall is totally fabricated. Many already found it suspicious that OP never showed any footage from the actual virtual fanmeeting itself but only the moment he allegedly cursed. Yet, the footage appears to be from a week-old fanmeeting that’s only being posted now. The audio sounds similar to a moment from one of Jiwoong’s live broadcasts. So, ZEROSES think the OP edited it all to make him look bad.

Recently, the accuser defended themself with an additional post after netizens suggested they were a sasaeng. Read more below.
