NewJeans’ Hanni And Minji “Shade” Haters As They Declare Themselves “Team Dani”
The live-action version of Disney‘s The Little Mermaid is scheduled to be released on May 26.
Halle Bailey plays Ariel in the movie, and NewJeans‘ Danielle is voicing the character for the Korean dub.
Danielle has continually shown off her tremendous vocal talent, proving just how ideally suited she is for the role and many netizens loved her impressive vocals in the trailer for the film.

But other netizens thought it would have been better for the Korean dub to use a different voice actress, given Danielle’s pronunciation.

Unfortunately, this has led to many hate comments from trolls online.
But NewJeans fans were excited to see what they believe is a TikTok likely filmed on Danielle’s birthday, April 11, but posted on May 5, that is “shading” all the unnecessary hate Danielle is getting.

On May 5, Hanni and Minji uploaded a TikTok with the caption, “we’re kinda busy.”
The TikTok itself showed Hanni and Minji lip-syncing to Lady Gaga‘s “Telephone” (featuring Beyoncé).

Before transitioning into wearing party hats while holding a beach ball and a flag that reads “Team Dani.”
Fans immediately took the TikTok as a sign that NewJeans doesn’t care about any haters because “they are booked and busy.”
And fans loved the shade they threw on trolls’ comments as they seemed to be supporting Danielle and her activities.
Although some point out that posting the TikTok could be a coincidence…
Many believe that the “Team Dani” flag makes it evident what Hanni and Minji’s intentions were.
