ONEUS Keonhee Reveals That He Is Not The True Inventor Of “Keonhee Sauce” — It Belongs To Another Idol

It was created by someone else.

ONEUS‘s Keonhee once went viral even amongst non-K-Pop fans when his hotpot sauce recipe hit jackpot for how good it tasted. At HaiDiLao, one can customize your own sauces at the sauce bar. The recipe dubbed “Keonhee Sauce” was so popular that HaiDiLao began giving out instruction slips on how to make it. Here’s what goes in it:

  • 1 spoon of peanut sauce
  • 2.5 spoons of chili sauce
  • 0.5 spoon of minced garlic
  • 0.5 spoon of chopped spring onions
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of peanut powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon of chili flakes
  • 0.3 teaspoon of sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon of fried beef sauce

Despite its name, the sauce was actually not made by Keonhee. It was made by a friend of his that he called “the hotpot prince.” As the friend did not want to be revealed, it just went as “Keonhee Sauce” for the longest time. During a recent interview, Keonhee revealed that the true inventor of the sauce finally made his debut.

I always say this, but that friend is who we call “the hotpot prince.” It was actually “The hotpot prince, Keonhee’s friend’s sauce.” It then was shortened wrongly to “prince Keonhee’s sauce.” Then all of a sudden, it became “Keonhee sauce.” “Friend” and “prince” totally disappeared. It’s the first time I’m saying this, but that friend debuted. He’s Nomad’s Sangha.
