“Queendom Puzzle”‘s Final Group Name EL7Z U+P Got Such Bad Feedback That They’ve Now Changed It

A couple of weeks ago, the final group name of survival show Queendom Puzzle was announced, and with it came a lot of disappointment and confusion from netizens.

The name was announced to be EL7Z U+P, which was shared by host Taeyeon after Mnet had decided on it.

The name was meant to be PUZZLE backwards, with one of the Zs replaced with a 7 to represent the seven members of the final group (which has not yet been announced). Netizens were quick to criticize the name, calling it a “Wi-fi password” and comparing it to other questionable Mnet decisions for group names (such as Kep1er and ZEROBASEONE).

And it seems like the criticism has been heard. On the latest episode of Queendom Puzzle, it was shared that the group name has now been changed to EL7Z UP, taking away the + that was in the original name.

It’s not a big change, but it does seem to be getting at least a little better of a reception from netizens. Many of them still think that it’s too complicated and unnecessarily confusing, though, or just plain bad.
