SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan Exposes The Difference In HYBE’s Cafeteria Prices For Staff And Idols

HYBE is home to some of the biggest groups in K-Pop. Over the years, they have grown as more idols have become part of the family.

Along with some of the biggest stars, the company is also known for its amazing food. On more than several occasions, netizens were in awe of the high-quality food served at incredibly low prices.

They aren’t alone, as TXT and even veteran idols g.o.d have shared just how good the cafeteria food is.

Well, it seems like one idol recently gained attention after adding his own TMI about the company’s food, and it’s none other than SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan.

On February 27 (KST), the idol treated CARATs to a special live broadcast. As expected, the idol’s visuals, charm, and charisma were truly on show throughout the entire time he was chatting with fans.

During the broadcast, Jeonghan gained attention when he spoke about the prices of HYBE’s food for artists compared to employees.

Unsurprisingly, the idol interacted with fans and answered questions, and one CARAT asked about the quality of HYBE’s food and how good it is.

Rather than share facts fans already know about HYBE and their cafeteria, Jeonghan shared some TMI about the prices and shocked fans as he revealed the stark differences in the cost for employees and idols.

HYBE cafeteria food… Yes, it is good. But it’s ₩2,000 KRW (about $1.52 USD) for HYBE staff but ₩8,000 KRW (about $6.07 USD) for us.

Jeonghan then did an adorably “evil” laugh as he added, “Huhuhuhuhu. I guess I felt like sharing that fact.”

While some fans didn’t understand the differences in price, others found it fair, considering the wage difference between idols and normal employees. Also, with so many schedules, it is more likely that the employees would eat at the company every day.

Yet, it isn’t the first time SEVENTEEN have discussed the HYBE food or even exposed some TMI about the company.

In 2022, SEVENTEEN sat down with Condé Nast Traveler, and member Jun revealed just how good the food is, arguing that “the food at HYBE is better than eating out.”

Jeonghan has also had a past with exposing HYBE after he revealed the flaws in the company’s security system, which angered him on several occasions.
