SEVENTEEN’s Vernon Spotted Filming For His Alleged Acting Debut

Netizens are speculating whether it’s a movie or TV show.

SEVENTEEN‘s Vernon will soon make acting debut?!

On May 14, a clip of Vernon captured on a shooting site went viral on social media. It triggered netizens’ speculations as they attempted to confirm what he was working on. Many hope he is currently filming what will become his official acting debut.

One rumor is that Vernon might make a cameo in Netflix‘s hit spin-off of To All The Boys series, XO, Kitty. It was recently revealed that the cast is in South Korea filming the second season. In Season 1, 2PM‘s Ok Taecyeon made a cameo appearance.

Another common belief is that Vernon is filming a movie. In 2022, it was announced that American rapper, singer, songwriter, producer, and 1/2 of Silk Sonic, Anderson .Paak would make his directional debut with the comedy-drama film K-Pops!, which he would also write and star. According to Pitchfork, he would portray “a washed-up musician who travels to Korea to write songs for K-pop stars, only to learn that his long-lost son (played by his real-life son Soul Rasheed) is fronting one of the country’s newest rising acts.”

My mom is from Korea but she was adopted so I never knew anything about my Korean heritage until I met my wife. This movie is a reflection on my experience learning about this part of myself alongside my wife and son—and spending even more time with them. I knew this would be something I should write and direct, and Stampede Ventures took a chance and trusted that I could pull this off. I’m excited to bring it to the big screen.

— Anderson .Paak

Like XO, Kitty, K-Pops! is currently being filmed in South Korea. So, fans’ most popular theory is that Vernon is filming this.

Whatever Vernon is filming right now, we will be seated when it premieres!
