SM Entertainment CEO Lee Sung Soo Pleads With Lee Soo Man To “Stop And Beg For Forgiveness” In New Video
As SM Entertainment founder Lee Soo Man and the company’s current management go head-to-head, new CEO Lee Sung Soo has been releasing videos that severely criticize Lee Soo Man’s management. Previously, on February 16, 2023, Lee Sung Soo released a video exposé that accused Lee Soo Man of mismanagement, embezzlement and tax evasion. In response, Lee Soo Man only referred to the matter as heartbreaking.

In turn, Lee Sung Soo addressed his late aunt’s husband Lee Soo Man, in a new video published February 17, 2023. He referred to Lee Soo Man using the honorific “Teacher,” which most SM Entertainment staff and artists use as a sign of respect.
Teacher. In 1997, you said this. “A dream dreamt alone only amounts to just one’s dream. But if everyone dreams together, it’s the start of a new future.” That’s right. This place, SM, is a company made by the dreams of everyone, the artists, all the staff, and us. It’s not your personal company. It is a company grown from the love of fans. It is a certifiable listed company that is protected and operated under Korean law, made with the 81.6% of the other shareholders that trusted and invested in us.

For those not yet in the know, SM Entertainment founder sued his former company, disagreeing with the way the company’s shares were sold to Kakao. Later on, Lee Soo Man sold his personal shares to HYBE in a bid to stop the current SM Entertainment management.
