Son Dam Bi finalizes move with Keyeast Entertainment
After much speculations of a possible move following her contract expiration with Pledis Entertainment, Son Dam Bi is revealed to be signing on to Keyeast Entertainment.
Since finding herself at a personal crossroad as her contract with Pledis Entertainment expires, recent news confirmed her to have officially parted ways with the agency after 10 years of working together.
As of June 15th, Keyeast Entertainment stated, “Son Dam Bin has signed an exclusive contract with us. As a celebrity, she has been assessed to have a high value. She is actively continuing her career as singer and MC, but considering her potential as an actress. Please look forward to her projects in dramas, films, as well as musicals. Through Keyeast Entertainment’s structured system and professional management know-how, we will fully support her activities.”
Son Dam Bi made her debut into the industry in 2007 with “Cry Eye” and gained the nickname as the “female Rain” due to her dancing skills. She has since released many hit singles including “Bad Boy,” “Crazy,” “On A Saturday Night,” and more, however, has not conducted any music-related activities since releasing her last album in 2012. Beginning with her 2012 MBC drama Lights and Shadows and receiving praise again for her work in the 2014 drama What Happens to My Family, Son Dam Bi also became known for her fashion and stylish lifestyle as MC for Son Dam Bi’s Beauty Days.
Currently, Son Dam Bi is set to appear again through OliveTV’s drama Yumi’s Room airing June 30th.
