5th Generation Rookie Group Gains Praise For Perfect Live Singing During Music Show Encore
Rookie group TWS has been slaying their first-ever release. Although they have barely been active for a month, they have shown results that have surpassed many other groups. They even recently overtook Queen IU on the charts!
5th Generation Rookie Boy Group Overtakes IU On Music Charts
Their song “First meeting doesn’t go as planned” did a slow creep into the upper tiers of the charts. At release, they barely made it to the Top 100s. They then climbed up the chart, secured a spot in the Top 3, and has been there ever since! They also became one of the only two 5th generation boy groups to win #1 on music shows during their debut promotions.
On the week of February 21, 2024, they won first place on The Show again. As per the usual custom, they had to sing their song live during the encore. The encore is always used as a test of a group’s vocal skills, as it is done without any backing AR track. Needless to say, they ate!

Netizens were highly impressed by TWS’s live singing.
- I can feel how nervous they are as rookies, but Youngjae, Dohoon, and Jihoon are really stable.
- Everyone did well. The song is cute LOL. Is the guy in the cap the main vocal? He’s good.
- I’m not a fan but I think they did well. Especially for the bridge…They’re good.
- But there’s really handsome and tall people… Is it one or two…
- They’re good though? It’s cute how they’re singing hard from the start. They left me with a good impression.
- Kim Dohoon, I love you.
- The TWS babies are good.
- The song doesn’t look easy LOL.
Good visuals, good height, good performance skills — what can’t they do?
