BLACKPINK’s “Ice Cream” Is A Real Flavor Thanks To Selena Gomez

It should look familiar because you’ve seen it before—without knowing it.

BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez‘s “Ice Cream” collaboration has gifted fans of both artists with more than just a summertime bop. On top of breaking records and creating a friendship between them, the track has an actual ice cream flavor to fit its name.

At the beginning of the music video, Selena had been inside an ice cream for another reason than to fit the concept. Right beside her was a stack of ice cream cartons that were more than meets the eye. They were all from the brand Serendipity, which Selena is now part-owner!

Around the time of the video’s release, the brand announced a new ice cream flavor in honor of Selena Gomez and BLACKPINK’s collaboration.

The flavor is called “Cookies & Cream Remix.” It’s just as distinct as it sounds. It has vanilla ice cream that’s colored pink, swirls of fudge, and crumbled cookies. What does it look like? You’ve already had a look at it.

Throughout the music video, the members of BLACKPINK were holding ice cream cones filled with the flavor, like Jennie and Rosé in this scene. If you take a closer look at some of the scenes, you can even see the actual carton for it, like the ones on either side of them.

While it had been a childhood dream come true to be a part of the process of making ice cream, Selena included BLACKPINK by choosing the ice cream’s pink color, which contrasted perfectly with the dark cookie pieces. She wasn’t the only one who’s been enjoying it.

Growing up and loving the iconic Serendipity restaurant, I couldn’t be more excited to become a partner in their expanding brand.

For the Cookies & Cream Remix, I wanted to put my own personal spin on this classic flavor by making it with pink vanilla ice cream as a nod to my girls BLACKPINK and celebrate our new song ‘Ice Cream’.

During their appearance on the Zach Sang Show, Rosé confessed, “We only eat Serendipity from now on. The BLACKPINK version of [cookies and cream].

If you want to get your hands on a carton of the sweet treat, it’s $7.99 USD if you order it for delivery, most likely limited to the United States.
