BLACKPINK’s Appearance On TV Asahi’s “Music Station” Was Special For Two Reasons
TV Asahi‘s Music Station released the lineup of performers on their official site. In addition to BLACKPINK, popular artists including THE YELLOW MONKEY, Sexy Zone, Johnny’s WEST, and Cocco were scheduled to appear in the same broadcast.
This appearance was particularly meaningful, not only because the episode was a three-hour special for the show, but also because it was BLACKPINK’s first time on TV Asahi‘s Music Station since the group’s debut!
BLACKPINK left for Japan on the afternoon of October 17 through Gimpo International Airport, despite Jennie looking unwell, which sparked concern among fans. The group performed “Kill This Love -JP Ver.-” on the show, which earned the group, but particularly Jennie, for powering through a high-energy routine in spite of feeling under the weather.
Now the ladies of BLACKPINK can check off appearing on Music Station and a TV special in Japan. Hopefully, they’ll take some time to rest and recover after giving themselves a well-earned pat on the back.
