Are You Compatible With BTS Jungkook’s New MBTI Type?

Which personalities are a match?

BTS‘s Jungkook has taken the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) not once but thrice, getting different results each time.

In 2017, Jungkook’s MBTI was INFP (“Mediator”), a quiet, imaginative personality type. In October 2020, his test results changed from INFP to ISFP (“Adventurer”). At the time, fans felt that the bold, creative type was a much better fit for this daring, multi-talented star.

Recently, however, Jungkook took the test a third time. His result, posted on Instagram, changed to INTP (“Logician”), a rational and methodical type. Jungkook feels, however, that he is half Logician and half Adventurer.

According to MBTI, there are 16 personalities, but only a few are highly compatible with Jungkook’s new type. In a nutshell, INTPs are cerebral introverts, who can be reserved with people outside their circle. Around their loved ones, they are fun-loving and buzzing with creativity.

INTPs are all about self-improvement, so they tend to look for friends and romantic partners who challenge them mentally and inspire them to grow. They seek connections with people who are as genuine, honest, logical, and straightforward as they are.

In other words, some of the best matched for INTPs are types that complement their own Introversion (I), Intuition (N), Thinking (T), or Perception (P).  INTPs have much in common with other IN types, such as INTJs and INFPs, but they also match well with ENTJs and ENTPs.

ENTJs and ENTPs are both N types like the INTP, but as extroverts, they can lend support to some of INTP’s weaknesses. Like most introverts, INTPs have difficulty leaving their “inner world” to deal with the real world’s mundane tasks and challenging social situations. As natural leaders, ENTJs and ENTPs don’t mind taking the lead in these areas.

Who are INTPs the least compatible with? It depends on the individual, of course, but INTPs are the total opposite of most “Sensing” types. Interestingly, this includes Jungkook’s other type, the ISFJ, as well as ESFP, ESTJ, and ESTJ.

Although the INTP and ESFP share the same Perception, they communicate and problem solve in opposite ways. INTPs rely on logic, while ESFPs are all about emotion. This could potentially lead to conflicts that aren’t easily resolved.

Interestingly, there isn’t a single ESFP in BTS, but there are two more INTPs! Check out the rest of BTS’s types here:
