ARMYs Guessed It—Now BTS And Disney+ Have Announced Their Partnership For Multiple Projects

We can expect to see BTS on Disney+ soon!

ARMYs have been suspicious that BTS and Disney may announce a partnership or collaboration of some kind for a while.

First, it was revealed that The Walt Disney Company had released all copyrights for BTS despite being so strict. This was so the members could be trained on voice acting using iconic Disney and Pixar films such as Zootopia, Lion King, and Toy Story, on Episode 109 of Run BTS!.

Walt Disney is very strict/adamant. BUT! for BTS, Walt Disney released all copyrights for them. I was so amused. So, I asked ‘This may be subject to copyright?’ And the person(staff) there said ‘No, Walt Disney released copyrights for us. [going] BTS can use them all’

Then at The 2022 Oscars (also known as The 2022 Academy Awards), BTS appeared to talk about their favorite musical moments, which were really just about Disney.

BTS’s V and Jimin‘s duet “Friends” was also prominently featured in the Marvel Studios‘ film Eternals. Disney owns Marvel.

All of these made ARMYs suspicious that something was in the works with BTS and Disney.

Sure enough, things seemed to be coming true with it was announced that V’s “Wooga Squad” version of the reality show In the SOOP would be streamed exclusively on Disney+.

Now, Disney+ has announced that lots of BTS content are coming to the streaming service. In addition to In the SOOP: Friendcation, ARMYs can look forward to PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LA and BTS MONUMENTS: BEYOND THE STAR.

BTS MONUMENTS: BEYOND THE STAR will be new documentary series. It will be a chronological docuseries following BTS from debut to present. It is expected to be released next year, 2023, so it will likely span ten years of BTS’s music career.

Korean media reported that HYBE signed a multi-year deal with The Walt Disney Company APAC (Asia Pacific region). Reportedly, the above content mentioned is only three of the five planned for BTS.

So, all of ARMYs’ suspicions were right all along!

We look forward to seeing more of what this partnership brings.
