“Vote Rigging Scandal” Boy Group In Discussion For Reunion

Could this be a possibility?

The possibility of a comeback for X1, a group overshadowed by the “vote rigging scandal,” has come up.

On January 22, former Mnet producer Ahn Joon Young, who served a prison sentence for rigging the votes on Mnet’s Produce series, recently met with some X1 members and proposed an offer for a reality show.

The program is currently in discussion and has not been confirmed yet for broadcast.

All eyes are on whether the X1 members will reunite for a reality show. Wanna One, who debuted through Produce 101 Season 2, has already confirmed filming for a reality show produced by Mnet.

Third-Gen Legendary Boy Group’s Return Sparks Massive Reactions

X1 was selected from the audition program, Produce X 101, and debuted in August 2019. However, after five months, the program’s manipulation of voting was revealed, leading to its disbandment.

There is also interest in whether Ahn PD will personally direct the reality show. Ahn was sentenced to two years in prison in May 2020 for the vote rigging scandal and was released in November 2021.

Netizens agreed that if the other Produce debut groups could do it, then X1 could too.
