Previously, the The Uncanny Counter actor was swept up in several bullying accusations made by alleged former classmates. While his agency, HB Entertainment, has since denied all the claims, the actor has stepped forward with his own statement. Here is what he had to say.

When the false information first started spreading online, I was perplexed and I felt like I was being wronged. The next day, I received a call asking if I wanted to appeal to the situation. I had a hard time shaking off the unfair feelings and was going through a difficult time.

I agreed to appeal, but afterwards, articles filled with even more malicious words started to appear. They had photos and words that were not related to the content of the article, but it somehow became true. I was embarrassed and taken aback at the situation. The false words that were being written online made me reflect on my 26 years of life. I became skeptical and disillusioned.

What happened was, the person claiming to be a former classmate of mine from New Zealand had stolen the photos from a different alumni without permission. It’s true that we attended the same school, but we never went to karaoke together, nor did I inflict violence upon him. The person who wrote the rumors about me has since deleted all of the alleged accusations. I would also like to emphasize that their deletion and apology was not coerced by intimidation.

The actor continued with his personal statement, explaining the misunderstanding and how the situation made him feel.

When I was in elementary school, I admit that I enjoyed playing soccer. However, I never assaulted anyone or forcibly took over the field. When I was in my second semester of 3rd grade, I transferred to Bucheon. I never extorted anyone for money, nor did I ever ride a motorcycle.

I was a silly and optimistic student who once dreamt of becoming a soccer player. As everyone else, I had close friends and friends that weren’t as close. I understand that I can’t be free in the memories of people who I’m not close to. However, there was nothing that I could do when I was being framed with malicious intent with unrelated photos and words. Over the past few days, I started having thoughts that I knew I shouldn’t be having and it was hard for me to get rid of them.

I am terrified of false words and inaccurate posts that don’t have authenticity. I don’t understand why I have to delete my accounts and comments every time this happens. I don’t know why I’m being attacked with such things. I don’t know why I have to keep explaining myself. The reason that I’ve been cautious with my explanations is because even that information can be used against me. It can be used as a weapon to create a story to fit someone’s narrative. It’s been overwhelming trying to deal with this misunderstanding, a misunderstanding that happened all because of a few photos and words.

We are unable to respond to all the false reports and malicious articles so official investigations have been requested. Please be patient. I will request this of you all.
