Recently, the official Instagram account of Emotional Oranges shared a photo with Danielle and a caption that said, “Just give us some time, guys, it’s coming.”

The caption also included an orange and a bunny emoji. While the former referred to Emotional Oranges, the latter is often associated with NJZ since their fandom name is “Bunnies.” So, even though Danielle’s sister Olivia was in the second picture of the post, it still prompted speculations that it was a hint of Danielle’s upcoming collaboration with the duo.

These speculations were met with a strong pushback, as many questioned if it was permissible for Danielle to be in the studio since her group was entangled in a legal battle with ADOR, and their professional activities were legally supposed to be suspended until the case was settled.

The original post by Emotional Oranges was quickly deleted after controversy arose, adding fuel to the fire. On May 22, KST, their account re-posted the photo with Danielle and Olivia, with a clarification in the caption.

Emotional Oranges explained that they were helping produce a song for Olivia and that there were no collaborations with Danielle in the books.

Guys, there’s no Dani collab. I was just helping produce a song for Livvie 😭😭!! Sorry if we caused any confusion, but that genuinely wasn’t the intention. Hope you’re enjoying ‘Orenjii’ & we can’t wait to see you on tour soon.
