BTS’s RM Always Uses Gender Neutral Pronouns, And We Love It
Aside from their incredible talent and stunning visuals, BTS are widely known for their kind hearts, thoughtfulness, and consideration.
Although all the members are lovely and sincere, the group’s leader, RM, has always been an excellent role model and leader, not just for the members, but for fans as well!
Ever the considerate role model, RM always appears to make an effort to use gender-neutral pronouns. During a 2017 interview with Entertainment Tonight, BTS was asked, “What does true love mean to you?” RM was quick to answer, “… When we don’t have any boyfriend or girlfriend, we would always say, ‘I’m so lonely, I want to date’…”
And, in his UN speech, which is being used to help teach English to students in Korea, RM made a reference to gender identity and the importance of loving yourself.
No matter who you are, where you’re from, your skin color, your gender identity, just speak yourself. Find your name and find your voice by speaking yourself.
We love how mindful and empathetic RM is. Everyone could use that kind of positive energy in their lives. ❤️
