ITZY’s Ryujin Picks The Member Of aespa She’s Closest To
ITZY and aespa have a close friendship that has been shown time and time again. Leaders Yeji and Karina have gone viral multiple times for their adorable friendship.
And Ryujin and Karina even got swept up in dating rumors which Ryujin responded to during a live broadcast.
Dating? I mean, I call her jagi (darling). I don’t normally call people jagi but I do use jagi for Chaeryeong & Jimin unnie (Karina). And… Jimin unnie and I’ve made snow ducks together before… and snow bears, too.

Chaeryeong explained that ITZY and aespa first met because they shared an elevator at Music Core. While initially awkward, Chaeryeong revealed that they’d quickly grown closer.
At the 2021 Dream Concert, ITZY bought aespa watermelon juice to further their friendship, although when the time came to give the gift, Chaeryeong was so shy that she invented an excuse.
In the past, Ryujin has revealed that she’s especially close to Karina, Winter, and Giselle, showing just how close friends they are by referring to the members by their real names, not stage names.

Given ITZY and aespa’s ever-growing friendship, it’s no surprise that a fan asked Ryujin to pick her favorite aespa member during a fancall. Although Ryujin laughed at first, instead of initially answering the question, she finally picked Karina as the member she’s closest to.
